Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson's "riveting" psychological drama confirms streaming release
MUBI has confirmed the streaming release date for Die My Love. The "riveting" psychological drama stars Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson as a young couple named Grace and Jackson.Set in rural Montana, the film follows Grace as she battles postpartum depression and psychosis while her marriage unravels.Based on Ariana Harwicz's 2012 novel of the same name, Die My Love will be available to stream exclusively on MUBI from 23 January 2026.Directed by Lynne Ramsay, the synopsis reads: "A hopeful young and loving couple (Grace and Jackson) move from New York to an inherited house in the country. Grace tries to find her identity with a new baby in the isolated environment."Yet as she begins to unravel, it's not in weakness but imagination, strength and a stunning untamed vivacity that she discovers herself anew."
Joining Lawrence and Pattinson on the cast are Judas and the Black Messiah's LaKeith Stanfield, The Prince of Tides' Nick Nolte and Carrie star Sissy Spacek.Speaking in a statement, Ramsay said: "At the heart of this story is the complexity of love and how it can change and transform over time. I aimed to keep it grounded, human, spontaneous and funny at times, capturing the moments that feel small but carry a lot of weight. This film is for anyone who's ever been in a relationship – there's heartbreak and beauty in vulnerability."
Over on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a respectable score of 73% from 243 reviews, with critics praising Lawrence's lead performance.Die My Love is a radical and riveting melodrama that rejects sentimentality," penned Mashable, while The Independent wrote: "It's a fearsome, all-consuming spell of a film, and its effects are unshakeable.""Scorsese, it's reported, was convinced that no other actor could do justice to the complex character. He may well be correct: Lawrence is thrillingly uninhibited and physically impulsive," said The Observer.
