30 Memorable Looks on Blackpink Star Jennie Kim’s 30th Birthday
Jennie Ruby Kim who, together with Lisa Manobal, Jisoo Kim and Rosé Park, makes up the chart-topping South Korean quartet Blackpink became a K-pop sensation when the group first broke out in 2016. While their genre-defying hits have captivated listeners and garnered legions of die-hard fans across the globe, each member of the group has carved out their own unique approach to fashion.
As a Chanel ambassador, Kim can often be spotted on the red carpet in one of the house’s signature monochrome looks and statement pearls. For her first appearance at the Met Gala, she wore a reinterpretation of look 164 from Karl Lagerfeld’s autumn/winter 1990 Chanel collection. (As Lagerfeld’s last chosen muse before his death in 2019, Kim’s ties run deep. So much so, in fact, that her fans have nicknamed her “Human Chanel”.) In 2025, she opted for a Chanelified way into the theme of Black dandyism. The following year, she appeared as the face of the new Coco Crush jewellery campaign.
Aside from her connection with Chanel, she also likes to throw her star power behind emerging designers. At her Cannes debut where she was promoting The Idol (in which she played a back-up dancer) she opted for a strapless midi-dress from Chinese brand Shushu/Tong’s autumn/winter 2023 collection. When not on the front row, Kim is happy to get stuck into the action and made her first turn as a model on Jacquemus’s autumn/winter 2024 runway.
As for her off-duty style? With oversized knitwear, baggy trousers and Ugg boots, the singer keeps things casual (and cosy). To celebrate her 30th birthday, see Jennie Kim’s 30 most unforgettable fashion moments so far, both on and off the red carpet, below.
